This research was started whilst pregnant with Alice and is intended to grow  into as complete a family history as I can provide her - along with her family  book - which you are welcome to see - just ask! This includes not only a fuller  narative and more information on the children but many more photos and personal  stories.
 (I can email any or all sections - Part 1 Alices family, Part 2 Ancestors of Roland  Barker, Part 3 Ancestors of Janet Bryant, Part 4 Ancestors of Peter Wells and Part 5  Ancestors of Avril Patterson - Part 5 is further split into 3 sections to make it  small enough to email!)

Please appreciate this is a work in progress - probably for the rest of my life  and may contain inaccuracies I have yet to iron out and one or two links are at  present a little specutative (especially the very early scotish ones). If you  do know of any mistakes please let me know and I will endeavour to correct them.

In compiling this history I owe many big thankyous -
 1) Grandad (Jim) for sparking my interest and passing on all his  research.  
 2) Cousin Jill for a large portion of the Wareham line.  
 3) Margaret who has supported both Grandad and I and passed on all her  research on the Patterson line.
 4) John Bryant for all the information passed to me on the Bryant side of the  family.
 5) Croydon Onyett for the wonderful work he has done on the name of Onyet and all the  information he was so willing to share with me.
 Finally to anyone else who has contibuted and will probably find their names  listed under sources.  I hope we can all continue to provide each other with  new leads and infomation for many years to come.  
  (It's true what they say - what starts as a hobby quickly becomes an obsesion!)

Lastly a little request.  Those who have seen 'Alice's Book' will know I am  collecting photos of everyone I can (as well as headstone pictures).  As many  of these as possible will appear slowly on this site too and if anyone has  anything to share I would be most grateful.  (I am limited to 50 pictures here  but watch this space for a link to a new website of family photos past and  present)Also interesting family stories, anecdotes etc will all make for a much  more interesting family book  so please email anything you think may be of  interest - however trivial it may seem to you.
